My Mom's Accent Is Like an Asian Accent
My mom is from Costa Rica. Even though she's been in the United States, like at least 33 years since I was born,. She has a really thick accent still, you know, Hispanic accent. And so even though it's pretty broken English, I know exactly what she's saying. My wife will constantly tease me and say, your accent of your mom is like an Asian accent. It sounds nothing like her. But my mom would just say something like, I love you so much, Kimberly. "I hope that doesn't offend anyone," he says.
