The Dark Age Equivalent
The Bronze Age is when the children of Marka and Radigan and Renala, they all sort of duke it out for control of the shards of the Elden Ring. And from there, that's when everything sort of starts to decay. The friction between these warriors has caused yet another era of stagnacy. That just slowly progresses more and more until you get to sort of the dark age equivalent - what your hero finds himself in. But I do think it's important to note that your guy is not like a destined hero, per se, he's really just one person who can see the light still because most people can't see it anymore.
