The Challenges in the Residential Construction Sector
The cost to building a home is increased by 33% prior to the pandemic. With the cash rate going up, it's meant that buyers can't actually get mortgages. And secondly, what we were seeing is builders can't build those properties for the fixed price contracts that they've put in place.
