Celiac disease is an increasing cause of iron deficiency anemia. Most gastroenterologists are comfortable using a colonoscope, which is just a longer instrument than an upper GI scope. A push enteroscopy may be even considered at that second upper endoscopy procedure. Then we need to move into the small intestine from there.
