The dietary restrictions extend even to water which should be drunk only when it is strained or has been boiled so as to remove small life forms. A critic of Jaina renunciation will probably not be satisfied. If you knowingly benefit from a morally dubious act, doesn't that by itself put you in a morally dubious situation?
