Dullness and Politics
There's a long standing defence of dulness, says Johniton. The idea fascinates him both politically and philosophically. In western philosophy there is praise for the contemplative life as being dull. And in politics we see again this sort of cyclical process. We see the craving for dulness after crisis, after turmoil.
