I would kind of challenge the notion that this is a developing world issue. I come from Australia, a high-income country and we have our own problems with identification. For example, indigenous populations have lower rates of birth registration coverage. We still struggle today as a country to establish a digital ID system That's why are we still talking about this in 2023?
