The Wearing or Not Wearing of the Vulture in Iran
The wearing or not wearing of the veil is something, you know, between an authoritarian ruler and a society sort of chafing against that. It's just sort of a strand through Iran's 20th century history certainly and right up until now. The authorities after 1979, when they consolidated the revolution then made this wearing of the hijab mandatory - there was a movement against it even then.
