She said: 'I want to do films and definitely expand into a career both dramatic and comic' It was only two years later, in 19 86, when she turned 28, that she got her first really big break with stand up routine on johnny carson's chat firi. Over the coming year, scored a slow of small t v rolls in shows like openhouse and larry hill. Her biggest role yet as the lead in a t v sitcom, playing a character called ellen morgan - but it was cancelled after just four episodes.
