Is Trino a Good Option for Data Lakes?
A lot of companies try to solve this problem, I guess by essentially trying to consolidate data in the one centralized system. So if you go with this sort of Trino approach, does that essentially stop a company from having to consolidate everything into like a data lake? It certainly at least gives you the freedom to decide if that's what's best for your particular use case or particular workload. And so interestingly, even though we eliminate the necessity for ETL, actually a lot of our customers end up using us for ETL as well because of that batch transformation capability.
