What Are the Shining Stars of the Dark Ages?

In church history, we know that the long period where the church typified by the moon herein in genesis, the church was on the wane. And this is the so called dark ages. Could you briefly say something about the shining stars that witnessly identified during that period of time? Well, i think if we read church history,. we surely get acquainted with certain ones that stood out prominentlya starting at least with martin luther. In the 15 hundred, martin l Luther was definitely a shining star. He recovered mainly the matter of justification by faith. That's marvellous, and we all are very thankful for what was recovered then. But that was only the beginning.
