The Chief Whip's Apologies

He clearly had been very careful, and probably had been advised about what he and shouldn't say. But then, in my opinion, proceeded to be a sort of very conditioned apology. It's pretty hard to understand at a time when people weren't supposed to be meeting up. I don't see how he can argue that they that it fulfilled the regulations. He then proceeded to go to the tea room and say to people, oh, you know, it's not really fair the way we're being attacked for this. And therefore showed very little ion at all.
