The Importance of Patience

The bond that formed with this family was very meaningful. The underlying thought process there is that they're developing acute. This isn't like an interstitial lung disease, which is happening and getting worse over weeks to months. And it's not explained by cardiogenic or hydrostatic pulmonary edema. So a lot of times in this patient and from that prodrum that you're describing, it's probable that that patient has a RDS secondary to a direct pulmonary infection or like an ammonia.
