Nicaragua in the 1980s was the second poorest country in Latin America after Haiti. The southern ister revolution in the early 80s began to change that. Ronald Reagan launched a war against Nicaragua, and it had an effect. It's now the tutorial maintains some social programs, but it's never been able to carry out the programs that were begun in the early 1980s.
