Investing in Endowment Companies Is a Better Move Than Diverting From Fossil Fuels
i was very active in promoting a discussion on campus about the investment in our endowment and whether it sustainable or not. I started out sort of advocating for divestment from fossil fuels, but i eventually moved away from that hard position to a more general position: We ought to keep sustainability in mind as a priority when we make investment decisions. It just struck me really that, like wol ye, these institutions up highered, the more elete, ones that have good endowments,. they there's a tremendous amount of money being made on them by whoever's managing that money.
