The Triumph of a Prussian Foreign Minister
After austerlitz, everything changed. Austria was out of the coalition. Russia was humiliated and would not be a major force in central Europe until new armies could be massed there. The prussians were isolated with few friends and no allies among the other great powers. Napoleon knew his diplomatic hand had never been stronger. But fortunately for the prussians, bonaparte was not interested in punishing them, but in winning their friendship.
