The Guy's Lucky Richard
A French admirer sent Franklin a satiric essay that was basically, you know, there's a sky instead of poor richard, his name's fortunate richard. His grandfather told him if he put a little bit of money in an account and let compound interest work its magic, wait a hundred years, a windfall will accrue. And so with the windfall, he ids, oh, i'm going to create things like job training programmes for tradespeople. He also wanted this to not only support business people starting out, but also so they get involved in civic life.
