How Do You Uncompartmentalize Your Feelings?

People's fear of their feelings is always bigger than the fear itself. When you feel, i when you actually feelings, that they're not scary as we think they are. What happens is people start to minimize, as dave said, or can have stuffed down, their feelings. And what happens is those feelings don't go away. They actually become bigger. Because feelings need air. So they come out in other ways. We're doing that to protect ourselves, but it doesn't, in fact, protect us. It puts us more in jeopardy.
