China's foreign minister urged the pacific region not to be too anxious about his country's aims. A meeting with his counterparts from ten island nations deferred consideration of a sweeping trade and security communica, meaning nobody agreed to anything. The percentage of world trade that goes through the south china sea is unbelievable. It's a bottle neck for world trade, so it's going to continue to be hotly contested.
