2023: Dave Gack's Note on Saving and Investing in the Last 43 Years
In 1980, $10,000 was a lot of money back then. Jeff Fisher: In 2022 dollars, I would need about $35,000 today to save to get to $1.1 million. But in my case, 2022 Dave doesn't think 2063, Dave, will need the money. He writes that although he did not have $30,000 to save in 1980 by saving and investing the last 43 years, because he retired 10 years ago, he has been able to accumulate what that $30,00 from 1980 would have provided. The power of compounding is still very much alive on this podcast.
