Multi-safe configuration files are where things like output descriptors and, you know, the SMS and all these things come through. Even if you have two of the three keys, you cannot recover your phone. I would say an improvement to that is Bitcoin secure with a BSMs setup. But one way of doing it could be just by going away and checking all five devices for all the options after registration.
