The Metaverse and AI

Is it a side effect or knock on effect of this earlier, very recent moment of tech optimism about the metaverse suddenly just fading and with it fading all of that hype and funding now just moving to AI. I think Facebook is really actually a really great example of thinking through something like this, right? And what we're seeing is a sort of scaling up of the requirements for concentrated corporate technology, not innovation.
