The Little God on the Road

The road is a book that we could go on talking about for quite some time. But i would like to end here, to day, by mulling over the the ending of the book which, i must say, choked me up. The father dies, but he implores his son to keep carrying that fire. He isn't just hope, but morality externalized. And there's a moment in all our lives, and that moment will come to all of us where our own father will pass on. We must become essentially our own gods.
