The Handmaid's Tale is a satire on the Puritanism of New England, among many other things. While the Harvey Weinstein case was kind of rumbling through, there was a TV adaptation of the handmaids. The idea that women in their white bonnets and red dresses became an emblem ofHarvey Weinstein or Donald Trump has been seen as paradoxical. But they are what they're demanding, what they were demanding was that men behave like Puritans.
