The Importance of Student Voice and Agency
When students believe that they are valued for their perspectives and respected, they begin to develop a sense of ownership and attachment to the organization in which they are involved. Students can't be valued if they're not heard. And we see from other lines of research connected in the slide, being able to talk about one's own experiences of learning in school is an important aspect of student voice and agency.
