I grew up in my high school. years in rural Pennsylvania. Much of what my family did at the time is what is considered classic prepper behaviour today. We had a garden, we canned and stored a ton of food in the basement, we hunted and fished as much for sport as for food. We made jerky and sausage from venison, stews from all of the odd cuts of both hunted and store bought meats. We organized berry picking groups in blue and blackberry seasons and spilt up shares t the end of the day. My grand parents kept chickens
