The job isn't always about creating the best system for us, the traveler. Sometimes it's who's paying their bills. When I flew to Florida with my family, we foolishly chose an off-site car rental company. The airport is far more interested in helping out the people who are paying them,. They have no incentive to have you leave the airport to go to someone else.
