The Alternative to Private Property
The RCLT is a nonprofit stewardship entity governed by the community specifically tasked with managing these commons. It's almost like community private property, where you come together at a village or community level and define what are your values. People would sell off their land because they don't want to use it, but then probably over 30 years, you'd have the same ownership structure that you do today. And so this can become an effective tool for communities to essentially combat those forces of encroachment of private property.
