Is There a Lot That's Not in the Constitution?
Not every bad idea is unconstitutional. Our constitutional structure is set up in such way as to allow people to enact the laws that they deem appropriate. So subject to certain limitations imposed on the states by the constitutens lins, and an abortion isn't on the list of things that states can't do in the constitution, then you're ok. Yes, i think that's absolutely right. People are allowed to enact foolish, crazy, ridiculous laws in their respective states. No matter how bad their laws get in this area, it doesn't mean that they can't do it.
