The Battleships - A Brief History

Sailors jumping off the arizona and sizzling when they hit the water. The fuel oil that all these sailors struggling in the water against catches fire. There will also be people that don't get cut out of the ships in time and are found later, sometimes much later, dead, entombed in their ships. People were often in total darkness, trapped under there. To give you an idea of the speed of these attacks, the big whigs in the military on the island can kind of see the smoke.
