Ibn Sabahin and Shrstadi

Ibn Sabahin is an incredibly fascinating figure, and he is also controversial for his seemingly monistic, almost non-dual mystical philosophy. The 14th century Hanbali theologian Ibn Taimiya very famously wrote attacks against certain figures, primarily Sufis, whose ideas he considered to be unacceptable. Shrstadi was eventually somewhat of a controversial figure, at least in certain circles. This is mostly due to the characteristic mystical philosophy that they adhere to - absolute unity or absolute oneness.
