The Mechanics of Boiling Water

In order for water to boil, it basically has to blow bubbles within itself. And that's only possible if the pressure of the vapor generated is matched with the external pressure of the atmosphere so the bubble doesn't collapse. If you try to boil water in your ordinary mug, it'll easily go 100 and 200 and 3 degrees before it boils.
