What Is the German Strategy in Italy?
There were no proper defences there, and the germans had not concentrated forces there. The german plan italy was to let us land, move into a beach head and then hid us from every direction with counter attacks,. Then try and destroy us and throw us back into the sea. But gradually the british get more of a tow hold. And that's when kessering decides we aren't going to be out of stop them on the beach head. So what we're going to do now is use the italian country side, the turrain to slow the allies down. We'll build a defensive line, and we'll stop them dead in their tracks on the road to
