In Matthew, Mark and Luke, our earliest gospels, it is quite clear that the people who are going to enter into God's kingdom and will be saved will be delivered from the destruction that's coming. In Revelation, even being a follower of Jesus doesn't do it. Only those who agree with John of Patmos' view of things get in. It doesn't matter how you live your life. You've got to have the right commitment to Christ.
