What's the Science in the Story?

The science nerd in the room says he likes to figure out what we cand, you know, how we can make thing work. He and his fellow writers try to start from a place of emotion because ultimately that's what hooks an audience. In season one, they didn't land on a goldilocks planet so there was a big tension pushing them forward.
