On March 1 China outlawed a kind of algorithmic discrimination, which is their first step in regulating artificial intelligence. In industry, it's very apparent they're seeing limits to their compute with the hardware they're also buying. It'll be interesting to see if in a few years, everything is hundreds of billions of parameters or most models are.
