The So-Called Greek Shamans

I'd like to ask you about two more important themes from antiquity which I think you're very well placed to talk about in an authoritative way. One is the question of the so-called Greek shamans. Who were they? What were they doing? Why are they called shamans? It duds who introduces this term. That's a good question. He certainly uses it and it was in Dodds' book that I first discovered for myself all those years ago. And he goes and investigates weird and wonderful people living beyond the bounds of the living world. They project their souls beyond their bodies and send them on voyages of discovery.
