I think sometimes, especially if you've been on the dating apps for a little while and you're just churning through horrible dates. Is your bar at the right place or is your bar extremely low because of your previous experiences? And I'm curious about who's initiating the contact for these midweek check-ins because it doesn't actually sound like space is happening. He said he needs some time out for his mental health, but you're still having very regular contact. It's almost like he wants to set that boundary of having space, but he's not sticking to it himself. So it's really hard to tell. Maybe if you do go off and you're meant to be together
