The QI theme and Jingle Bells work perfectly together. Composer Howard Goodall says he tries to make all of the tunes fit together just as a kind of intellectual exercise. Charles Guino in 1853 took a piece of music from 1722 by J.S. Bark, slung a tune on top - it's just so Barry Manolo. The place where this happens the most is in musical theatre and opera.
