The Indictment of Trump

If this were a legitimate investigation, the next thing that would happen would be there would be an indictment. An indictment doesn't prevent you from making a deal. It just stops the clock as far as the statute of limitations is concerned. But in a political case, if it was an honest indictment, it would make it very difficult to give him a sweetheart plea deal.
