The Role of Aid and Development in the Global Economy

The aid and development world is not completely homogenous. There are certainly some good projects and some very well meaning people in that sector. It's not really a story of corporate capture of aid and development as if it was recently corporate captured by anti-democratic actors who were anti-democratic from the beginning. Most aid does not go direct from rich country to poor country most aid goes through a lot of like very complicated chains of different organizations but also private contractors that are taking profits.
