Is a Binomial Distribution Not Just a Categorical Distribution?
So is a binomial distribution not just a categorical distribution with only two categories? No, no because what you just described is the is like a I call a binary distribution or a Bernoulli distribution. The difference between the bin exponential for for a two-dimensional categorical and a multinictional which we'll talk about next week. So even though the coin itself has two outcomes you now have 11 possible outcomes because you're counting from zero to 10 and so that extra zero gives you it gives you an extra outcome, uh, so, um It's very common to describe this distribution you still just need two numbers that add up to one but sometimes you really have to make
