The Importance of Calling Out Veterans for Mental Health Services
Between 2008 and 2020 over 66 000 veterans have committed suicide that's over 6100 veterans a year. "Mental health services did not meet the expectation they didn't change whatsoever," says former VA Secretary Eric Shinseki. Veterans are killing themselves while waiting for treatment outside of the VA, according to an article in The New York Times.
