Duke William's Invasion of England
The assembly at lilobon approved the duke's plan for invasion. Each promised to provide the duke with a certain number of knights, after which the duke ordered a nearby nurd to record that oath in one of his stupid, dirty books. That list of promises recorded at the ducal hall of lilebon became a doomsday book of the conquerors. And beyond the promises of fighting the nobles also promised to build william a fleet that would ferry those men and their horses across the sea.
