The Importance of Versatility in a Player
Maitland Niles got criticized for not nailing down one position. I think the criticism was his reluctance to embrace his versatility and certain positions. There's huge value in a player like Tommy Yasu, he needs to decide if he's a right back or a left back. If you're not playing well in any position, then the accusation will be leveled - maybe you should stick to one. But if you've got a player who genuinely is versatile and is performing, I don't think that's a problem. And I just think it's about if players perform ultimately. Ainsley, Michael and Nars linked this week with a move to Saudi Arabia. Really? I guess
