Glacier Eratics - What Are They?

Big rock is referred to as a glacial erratic. Eratics can be found in many locations across north america and northern europe. And they are all believe to have been transported by glaciers. They indicate the extent of ice sheets that extended southwards during the ice ages, geological evidence. So to discover more about historical glaciation, it would be a good idea to look more at the rocks to establish more facts about the nature of glaciation. As technology progresses, so does our ability to drill deeper and deeper into our ice sheets. Places such as antarctica and greenland are the current preferred places of research.
