Is This a Void at All Costs?

It's an odd situation, and it largely has to do with the it's, it's basically technicality. You know, it does not remove him from the list of possible people who could have comitted this crime. I just have to wonder how how this affects people who live in that town,. How this affects the sheriff. He seemed very righteous in his actions, buts so up in the can't imagine that anyone feels particularly good about it right? Nothing is fair to say.
