After 9/11, darpa had to deal with the threat of biological weapons. They spent six billion dollars trying to defeat a home made bomb called an i e d that was responsible for 63 per cent of coalition debts. The agency also worked on stealth fighter technology and drone technology. But they were overshadowed by their work in urban warfare.
