The tidy spinosan and humaean accounts of beauty, which have unfortunately become the default position of so many, effectively put shackles on the soul. Dietrich von hildebrand's distinction between a value and a value response helps in the determination of the objectivity of beauty. The cathe of shart is beautiful by a sort of immediate intuition.
