Is There a Need for Multiple Inboxes?

LinkedIn has introduced a new feature that puts all in-mails into one inbox. It's an interesting development this to me because it seems a bit counterproductive for LinkedIn to do it and I'm not quite sure what their motivation for doing it is other than just trying to make it a better inbox experience. We could have multiple inboxes that we can manage ourselves but there's limited space on mobile so they're never likely to give us more than two at the moment. There are certain things that you can find about companies on LinkedIn through company pages for example.
